M. Billington was well extended by the promising junior, R, Hayes, in the men’s A grade squash rackets competition.

Hayes was well within reach of an upset victory until Billington began producing some fine power drives to the back of the court, with which Hayes was unable to cope.

T. Tolchard, in complete control, inflicted the first inter-club loss on G.Bird, for the last two seasons, in three decisive games.
