Canterbury Squash Foundation – Golf Tournament 2025

Sunday 2 November 2025 | Templeton Golf Course | $60 per player – includes green fees and light lunch

The Canterbury Squash Foundation invites you to join us for our annual fundraising golf tournament, returning for 2025 at Templeton Golf Course.

This popular event brings together squash players, past and present, along with supporters, administrators, and friends of the game, for a relaxed day of golf, connection, and community spirit.

A day of Golf, Friendship and Fun

The tournament is played using a special Ambrose format – a team event that keeps things inclusive and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of skill level. Handicaps and age factors are taken into account, ensuring teams of all abilities can compete on an even playing field. Over the years, we’ve found that the most successful teams combine a healthy mix of golfing experience, quick wit, and youthful enthusiasm!

You don’t need to be a golfer (or even a squash player) to take part – just bring your good humour and a willingness to join in. Whether you’re there to test your swing, reconnect with friends, or simply enjoy a day in the sun, you’ll be in great company.

Why We Do It

The annual golf day is one of the Foundation’s key fundraisers, helping to support projects that preserve Canterbury’s squash heritage, promote grassroots development, and recognise the achievements of our squash community. Funds raised contribute to historical archiving, junior support initiatives, and ongoing programmes that ensure the region’s proud squash story continues to be told and celebrated.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Hole sponsorships are available for $200 per hole, which includes signage and recognition throughout the day, as well as green fees and lunch for one player. Sponsorship is a great way for individuals, clubs, and local businesses to support the Foundation while enjoying a fun and friendly day out.

We are grateful to our returning sponsors and warmly welcome new supporters who would like to get involved. If your business or club would like to sponsor a hole, please get in touch – these opportunities always go quickly!
