For the second year in succession, the Wellington junior men’s squash team won the Coca Cola national junior teams championships during the weekend. Playing Canterbury in the final, Wellington won 3-1.

The New Zealand junior team which will travel to Australia in August for the Australian Open championships and the inter state teams event was selected after the tournament.

The team is : Men: B Barnett (Waikato), R Espie (Wellington), R Hayes (Canterbury), R Lust (Wellington), non travelling reserve J Devoy ( Bay of Plenty)

Women: R Blackwood (Auckland), K Leabourn (Bay of Plenty), A Owen (Auckland), J Stanton (Central Districts), Non travelling reserve J Milne (Canterbury).
